  • What is it?

The rear bumper is the panel on the rear of the ride that is designed to reduce damage to your bodywork should you have a "bump" during driving.

Over the year bumpers have been adapted to give the vehicles a little bit more style. They usually come either in one piece or in two sections a "bumper" and a "valance".

Bumpers are a common modification to a ride and depending on the ride you have you will either be able to change the whole bumper or just the valance underneath.

    What are the advantages?

The rear bumper gives more style to the rear of the ride. When twinned with a nice exhaust system a ride can look really nice from the back.

    What are the disadvantages?

A rear bumper sits at the back of the ride so its not under as much pressure to dodge objects in the road however it has still been known for objects to catch the rear that have missed the front so watch out!
