  • What is it?

Straight Thorugh exhausts are pretty much a pipe all the way down with no boxes at all. There are variations to straight thorugh pipes for example a straight thorugh middle section on a full or Cat-back exhaust system.

It has been seen where there are no boxes whatsoever on an exhaust system, this is very messy and you could end up causing damage to your engine should you have one fitted. Apart from that they run a huge risk of you getting into trouble from causing too much noise!

    What are the advantages?

Straight through pipes are good in moderation like a missing centre box for example. This will give you an altogether throatier sounding exhaust and improve your performance ever so slightly.

    What are the disadvantages?

They are going to be a pig to fit, if you currently have a straight through pipe then you will need to have a piece of the pipe cut out to make room for the additional box. This isn't recommened that you do this at home on your drive and we advise you to take it to the pro's to do.

    Tips:

These types exhausts are genrally not female or children friendly. So if you are married with children we'd recommend steering clear of straight thorugh pipes.
